Dear Beloved MPCers,

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in Victoria is presently quite concerning, such that the Premier Daniel Andrews needed to enforce a Stage 4 Lockdown—one of the world’s strictest measures—in Melbourne until 13 September 2020.

During this time, MPC, as a community of believers, must look after the wellbeing of one another, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This will enable each one of us to continue to fulfil His great calling for us individually and corporately as a church.

Firstly, I ask that you look after yourselves. Please take care of your spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing. We need to remain strong in times like this. Experience God as the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort in your lives, consistently. I encourage each one of us to intentionally come with confidence before His throne of grace to receive comfort and mercy that will keep us going through this tough time.

Secondly, please look after your family and your cell members. Remember them in your prayers and make efforts to connect with them. Let God use you to comfort others as well.

Keep motivating and encouraging one another through digital platforms and phone calls.

Keep the unity in our hearts as we aim to come out a stronger church at the end of this pandemic.

Thirdly, please be on the lookout for other people around you as the impact of this pandemic has begun to take its toll on many people. Let us cultivate the attentiveness and compassion for others as we stay tuned to the Lord’s leading, allowing Him to channel his comfort and love for this broken world through us.

And lastly, please uphold and pray for the leadership of Victoria and Australia to make the right decisions as they deal with intricate issues that arose due to the impact of this pandemic.

I remember one statement from Ps. Steven Furtick, “If you give God your attention, He will always exceed your expectation.”  Therefore, I would like to call for a time of prayer and fasting in the next three days.

Prayer and fasting in the next three days.

Thursday 06/08 – Saturday 08/08

Simply skip your breakfast and lunch and then let us break our fast ‘together’ at 3 PM daily. I will send out the daily devotional materials and prayer topics soon.

Dear MPCers, God is kindly reminding us again and again that HE is indeed the Great I AM.

God is our great Heavenly Father, the Sovereign God, the Almighty God, and the All-knowing God, who is always in control.

We believe that He will lead us through this difficult situation.

Keep the faith, keep the hope, and God bless you all.
