He asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”Matthew 16:13-15
It is not enough for us to have information about Jesus.
To know what the history books, the society, or even the preachers say about Jesus. What really matters is, “What about YOU? Who do YOU say Jesus is?”
He wants to know, and wants us to know, who he is for us.
How important is he for us?
What is his place in our hearts?
That is the real question.
