Day 4 – Return to the Father

Read: 2 Corinthians 6:16-18, Romans 8:16-17

The love of our Father is too wonderful to comprehend. We are blessed beyond measure simply knowing that He is patient with us. He is longing for the day we learn to walk as true sons and daughters of God. He is also patient in drawing us near. For those who choose to develop a personal relationshipwith him, the Father becomes the faithful Author and Finisher of our faith.

Jesus was sent to this world to convey a message from the heart of the Father God. Jesus is our model. He is our pattern for living. Our identity is secure in Him, and we have the right to be the children of God because of what he has done. There is more: whatever inheritance Jesus receives, we will also receive as co-heirs.

We share not only in the inheritance of the Son of God, but also in His glory, if we are to share in His suffering as well. The suffering is linked to the trials we experience as we share the gospel. The Father has entrusted to us this Good News of the Kingdom. He is asking us to bring many sons & daughters to glory (Hebrews 2:10), as this is the Father’s greatest desire.

  1. Take time to reflect on our Father’s heart for you andrespond to his love in worship.
  2. Take time to reflect on our Father’s heart for his lost sons and daughters.
  3. Ask God to remind you of the people you need to pray for, including those who do not know God yet.

I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.
